This chalet is in a fantasic location a short drive away from Chamonix town centre and to lifts up the mountains. Michelle was lovely and very welcoming and helpful.
The only down side was that one of the beds in our twin room was very short and had a plastic undersheet pinned to it and the other bed had a matress on it that didn't quite fit the bed. But it was budget accommodation and the hospitality and views made up for the lack of comfort!

I had a fantastic stay at this B&B! The chalet was incredibly clean and felt like a cozy home. The staff were friendly and helpful, lending me ski clothes and even booking a bus for me. The location was perfect, with stunning views of the glacier and easy access to the ski slopes. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh-baked croissants and soft-boiled eggs. The hotel had great facilities, including a relaxing hot tub. I couldn't have asked for more!
Everything is what I need and want.

The owner Phil and Michelle were very friendly and accomodating. This b&b is situated a few miles out of the city of Chamonix, but they had some mountain bikes that we used daily (on a first come first serve basis) to get around, to cable cars, trailheads and grocery shopping, and these bikes actually added 100% value for our money at this bed and breakfast. So,we were very glad to have our hiking vacation happily turn into a hiking/biking vacation. The view of the mountains out of our window was outstanding, the property is located in a gorgeous area, and song birds sing beatifully and overtime.
Although we did eventually get a complimentary "shuttle" ride to the train station on our last day, one should realize that getting a ride to and from the b&b to the train station is not a guarantee, and it depends on if Paul or Michelle are going to be around or not. Bathrooms are shared.

The hotel's location in a quiet residential area in the mountains was perfect for a peaceful getaway. I enjoyed waking up to the stunning view of the surrounding peaks, including Mont Blanc and a glacier. The convenience of having a bus stop nearby made it easy for me to explore this city and its attractions. Additionally, the hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment for my stay. The breakfast provided was also delicious, with freshly baked croissants and a variety of options to choose from. The staff was friendly and informative, providing helpful suggestions for activities and hiking trails.

Lovely, friendly staff; simple and good value accommodation in the (usually very expensive) Chamonix valley; fantastic views outside to the Aiguille du Midi and Mont Blanc
It is a little bit outside of Chamonix but it is near a bus and train route. Be careful getting a taxi back from Chamonix as they can be pricey - better to get the night bus back.

The garden was a perfect place to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. The shared bathroom was always clean and easily accessible. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything I needed. The owners were incredibly friendly and always went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The location was just perfect, with easy access to the city and the option to take bikes from the chalet. The simple breakfast of croissants and tea was a great start to my day. I had an amazing experience at Chalet Les Frenes and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly and picturesque stay.
